I take it this is the Battle Frog they are talking about. Only one I could find.

Doesn't quite roll of the tongue and go together with Fiesta.

I thought the NY6 bowls were doing away with title sponsors to make them more prestigious.

They can be the Sponsor Name + Traditional Name Bowl. The Peach had dropped Peach from it's name and was just the Chick Fil-a Bowl, but to be included in the NY6 it had to add Peach back into the name.

These types of businesses have high failure rates, but the uptick in popularity of novelty races that started a few years ago is producing some established winners. Don't be surprised if there's a new sponsor next year.

Damn it guys, we were so close to the Battletoads Fiesta Bowl.

As long as Tostitos is in operation, they should be the sponsor. Heck, just rename the section University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale is in "Tostitos" so it can still be called the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

OK, I really didn't care that much about having the major bowls include the title sponsor in the name of the bowl.

But for cripes sake ... it was supposed to be a globally recognizable brand. Not sound like some damn joke.

Have to wonder if the bowl reps get troll calls asking about Battletoads anyway. Not sure if the meme is still alive at all, although this may prove to be too good of an opportunity to pass up for some
