The coaching situation worked out very, very well for everyone.
sorry you lost your coach, my friend.
Thanks EagleX, greatly appreciated!
Nothing is ever guaranteed in coaching changes, but I believe we came out OK in the coaching exchange game.

and y'all did that whole coaching search incredibly well. I didn't see Norvell coming, and I still keep up with you guys.

I keep up with USM also because of the decades of respectful history between 2 southern independents trying to compete with a fraction of the budgets of SEC programs.
No one knew anything about that hire.
All of us were as surprised as anyone.
Congrats on the "we're back" year. All is right with southern US football now.

The coaching situation worked out very, very well for everyone. I don't see any reason for the b s comments, everyone should be proud, happy, and very encouraged for next year's coaches and season!
classy as always OT.....hated to see that three game skid you guys had.....this southern miss fan was pulling for the Tigers to get the access bowl bid.....regardless, you guys have to be happy with the last two seasons.....hopefully your new HC continues to build upon your recent successes
I've always thought Memphis along with UL are the two g5 teams with a legitimate shot at making the leap to p5.....
now, just get rid of Pastner (I know you have a soft spot for him.....but it just seems like it's time to put Pastner out to pasture at this point.....I've always wanted to be wrong about him....)

Pastner has his challenges. I think he either produces this year or he is replaced. The paying public is speaking with small crowds (for Memphis). The administration won't sit and watch the program sink too far. You called that one before me. :)

Sorry that I didn't see this before. I think there are 3 coaches leaving. Special Teams Coordinator, Offensive Line Coach, and maybe another that I can't remember. We're keeping the offensive coordinator, Darold Dickey; and that's a good thing.

those 3 are with Fuente in Va Tech. there will be more joining him there after the bowl game, their names haven't been released yet. as there are some hold overs on Tech's staff, there obviously isn't room for all. the only coach for sure staying on Norvell's staff is Dickey but I wouldn't be surprised if 1 or 2 others remain as well.

Word on the street is it's either Tommy West as HC with Rickey Bustle as OC, or Bustle as HC with West as DC.
