Yes.

Not buying it. Care to elaborate?

The proof of the pudding in is in the tasting. We will see how this tastes...we STILL have an AD problem.

Not only do I disagree, I believe you to be even more of a divisive presence on this board than ever.

We have a problem...meet the new boss same as the old boss.

It has been 3 days... No basis for assuming that. Now if we hire someone like Dickey then I am open to having that discussion. But not because it might take a week to replace our football coach.

It's not the time, it's what has happened in that time.

Unless Richt or John Gruden picked up the phone and asked for the job and Bowen said "no, we can do better", then nothing that significant or detrimental has happened. If this is about Odom, get over it. He is a DC with a few years of experience. There is no reason to bend over and offer him the world, too many other candidates in similar career positions who have had good results.

Good advice. We will see, hope your right, but if I were a betting man, I would bet on you being open to that discussion...

Missouri was 1-7 in the sec this year. Oh my god we have to hire their defensive coordinator or our program is ruined.

Just stop and think about it. Odom isn't worth fighting over

Yes.

Really?

He doesn't frackin' know any more than you or I or anyone else not present at the meeting and listening and reading all other relevant communications knows. So I'm guessing nothing.

I know what I know...you are free to disagree.

FREEDOM! Thanks. I disagree.

You don't KNOW what has happened in that time. You can only make assumptions based on bits and pieces of information, some of which are true, some of which are not true and some of which are shadows of the truth (and you don't even know which is which). All that adds up to you not knowing what has happened in that time. None of us do.

You are correct, I don't know how you're hearing what you're hearing and I don't doubt that you have sources, Many on here do. However, concerning what has happened over the last few days on this coaching search, I don't care who you're hearing from, you don't have the full story. If you say you do, that's all I need to know to understand that either your connections aren't so deep or you don't understand what you're hearing and what you're not hearing.

I think it's safe to assume you're not present at or involved in communications and so any statements from you on that, framed as conclusions, are likely BS. That's what I assume -- feel free to differ.

All true. I reserve the right to be wrong, and hope I am, but for a variety of things that I have heard and seen, I fear that our Athletic Department has a significant problem, that will make this search considerably more difficult than I first thought.

More difficult than what? Or more difficult than who?

I can name some P5 teams who have been looking for a coach, and some of the same coaches, as we have for a much longer period of time.

I think we are going to have a hard time hiring the people we want to hire. Sometimes its not about where you work its about who you work for...
