Meanwhile, across the street
A bowl prediction thread is now on page 4 without a single Neckster commenting on the projection that they'll play stAte in New Orleans.

Here's a helpful tip for those Tech fans who are stressed at this prospect. Close your little eyes, click your heels together and whisper....there's no place like Ruston, there's no place like Ruston, there's no place like Ruston.

Three NFL Hall of Famers played their college ball in Ruston at Tech.
Two CFL Hall of Famers played their college ball in Ruston at Tech.
One NBA Hall of Famer played his college ball in Ruston at Tech.

Meanwhile, across the street:

Zero NFL Hall of Famers played their college ball in Lafayette at ULL.

What does that have to do with Ruston? So that is the standard on why Ruston is great?

I've eaten at Texas De Brazil 5 times. So there. Bowl game is already won.

You should really focus on what you have in 2015.
Unfortunately for you, games aren't scored based on arbitrary conditions such as how many players you've had that went to the hall of fame.

Before joining the Sun Belt, I had no idea that a school called "Louisiana Tech" even existed.

That's cool. That would be a relevant comment if our fanbase had comparable delusions of grandeur.

No, individual games are not. I was simply making the point that Ruston is a nice enough town that countless pro athletes, including six hall of famers, chose to call it home for their college careers. None have yet to do so at Lafayette yet.
ULL fans in Lafayette constantly attack Ruston because of Ruston's size. They think Lafayette is a metropolitan city because most of them have never traveled outside of Acadiana. Sometimes you have to remind them that there's a big world that exists outside of the only 50 mile radius that they feel comfortable in.
