Norwood's Marc Edwards continues to be the only Cincinnati-area player to win Mr. Football (1992). The award started in 1987

Reports on Twitter saying Massillon Perry RB Keishaun Sims has won Ohio Mr. Football. Nothing announced by Associated Press yet.

We just move SW Ohio over to Kentucky.

I remember Marc Edwards. He was a pretty good fullback at ND during Lou Holtz's last year's with the Irish.

He was a bulldog. Jeremy Larkin Cincy LaSalle was a finalist but many voters ignore the area players. Just going off of memory,
Would have thought Adolphus Washington, Ray Edwards, Carlos Snow, Carlton Gray, Shane Curry, Spencer Ware, Kyle Rudolph, and others would have won some.

It is hard to believe that only one player from the greater Cincinnati area has won that award in nearly 30 years. That is truly astounding.
