Still don’t get the appeal of Tedford. It does occur to me that Memphis AD Tom Bowen worked at Cal when Tedford was there. Hmm.

hmmm is right. Is there another college opening that he would resign from the CFL for? Maybe South Carolina?

Perhaps it is Dykes to Missouri, Tedford back to Cal and Odom to ????

I don't think Cal wants Tedford. One, they fired him. Two, they weren't happy with his graduation rates of players.

Well, Tedford did take a Cal team with Aaron Rogers, Marshawn Lynch and JJ Arrington to the Holiday Bowl.

Interesting - he sure has developed an impressive list of high caliber quarterbacks.

Tedford will be the hire unless things go sour.

Would be concerned about Tedford's health & his interest in an intensive recruiting effort required at Memphis. Not sure what his motivation level would be as Memphis' head coach. He's made more money in previous jobs, been HC in the PAC & health issues - that would affect required motivation IMO......

He lived not near, but in the Stadium at Cal.

I actually Love the Jeff Tedford hire if it comes to pass....He can make a QB and would do wonders with Brady Davis, and could def keep Keon Howard committed more than likely....He is a West coast guy who help build up Oregon to get it going, and same with Cal....He will need to bring in some Young hard working staff members....Maybe get a young guy with Air Raid knowledge who would be a up and comer type...Young hard working staff members with Recruiting ability....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I would be okay with Tedford.

1) 58 years old
2) Has lived and worked in California and Canada exclusively, except for a one year stint in Tampa with Bucs, which he resigned from.
3) Significant heart problems.

Sounds tailor made for the Mid-South.
