RE: Windows 7 Pro
I have Windows 10. Its ok...but if you can avoid it for awhile...do so. Shortly after upgrading..I encountered an error where I could not connect tot he internet.
The culprit was something called Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol.

I removed it from my connection settings...but nothing I did made a dent...
I ended up having to reinstall Windows 10...and then restore my wifi router to default settings for me to be able to connect again.
The other day... a student who had upgraded her laptop had the same exact problem. I did a restore for her..but I dunno if it helped her or not.

RE: Windows 7 Pro
After a time ALL Windows OSs will start to slow down.
You can stave that off with CCleaner, registry cleaners and the like...it is their attempt to get you to buy their newest latest and greatest.

I no longer allow updates without viewing them first. Mine automatically downloaded Windows 10 and wiped out every file I had, but luckily a restore point back to Windows 7 saved me. F Windows 10.

good for you Bill 8-) glad you were able to restore. Windows 10 gives you 30 days after upgrading to downgrade to your former OS

I have lost two hard drives to defective Windows updates over the years. One was devastating, set me back several months.

RE: Windows 7 Pro
I downloaded 10 and had trouble connecting to the internet. Once I finally got connected my speed was super slow. I quickly went back to 7. I'm hoping I'm not forced to go to 10 at some point.

The update was kb3035583. It was a update for a Windows 10 App. Windows 7 didn't like it.

That's the one! It nearly wiped me out, Microsoft has re-issued it like five times and apparently it still screws things up.

This is about Windows 7, you don't throw code around with other systems.

My response was to all the people having issues updating to windows 10 saying that they had issues.

Not sure what you mean about not throwing code around with other systems?

I'm glad to hear some people like Windows 10, since I figure I will eventually be forced into using it.
