No. When you play two FCS teams and get beat by a team as bad as South Carolina, you don't deserve it. The two FCS teams being the biggest factor.

RE: If UNC beats top-ranked Clemson..
ACC has been generally the worst P5 Conference year in and year out. UNC if they beat Clemson it will be their first win this season over a ranked opponent. Living in SC, I can tell you that Clemson has a solid team but UNCheat can beat them. Clemson damn near lost to a God Awful South Carolina who has already beat UNC. I live with the daily arrogance of SEC fans but I also watch a lot of SEC Football and can say without a doubt that there is no way Clemson or UNC would be playing for the SEC Championship if they were in the SEC.
With that said I would love to see Clemson prison rape UNCheat and even win the National Championship just to shut up Gamecock and SEC fans but then again Clemson fans can almost be as bad and lord only knows what they will be like if they win it all. I damn sure know how insufferable UNCheat fans are, especially the bandwagon Walheel fans who have never stepped foot on campus.
If Fedora was smart he leaves UNC in the rear view mirror if he manages to do what no other UNC coach has done since 1980 by winning a ACC Championship.

Yea, I can definitely see your point! That loss to a bad South Carolina squad is hurting them. But on the positive side, they have won 11 straight since losing that opening game.

No way UNCcheat deserves to be in this conversation. The only thing they deserve is what SMU received from the NCAA.

so it's better to penalize Clemson for winning all their regular season games and losing in the championship?

I think Fedora is going to leave UNC soon. You ( as an ECU) feel about UNC..Clemson (ACC) and South Carolina (SEC) as we ( as USM fans) feel about Miss State..Old Piss..LSU..and Alabama (SEC) !!!

Both of us get overshadowed by those obnoxious P5 schools.

The only reason I will be pulling for UNC to win the ACC is because of Larry Fedora..and hoping he moves on to a better job.

My brother is a Gamecock, my Dad was a Tiger. I am a fan of both. I don't pull for anything North Carolina and as a Golden Eagle it goes double with Gel Boy. Go Tigers.

CU 1 UNC 0

Hope you win Stink. That guy is responsible for a lot of the USM decline.

No, given the two FCS games. Pretty sure the Committee doesn't want to set that precedent.

The only way I see UNC getting in is if multiple top 4 teams lose and they beat Clemson handily.

I think the committee will probably try to avoid putting them in unless there is no way they can avoid it. Putting a team in with potentially massive sanctions coming would be a bad look.

ya, I think so....if you beat Clemson, you should be in

the schedule argument is stupid and isn't truly reflective of how good a team is. Nebraska used to blaze through weak Big 8 schedules on their way to National Championships.

I think beating Clemson is their ticket to the playoff. If they were playing a 10-2 Clemson, then I'd say no. Beating the #1 seed should have some weight

FSU just won a National Championship and made the playoff last year
The ACC stomped the SEC on rivalry weekend the last 2 years.
Miami beat Nebraska this year....Michigan State couldn't even do that
Ohio State's only loss last year? Virginia Tech
FSU just beat the snot out of the SEC East Champ
Clemson has wins over Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, Ohio State, LSU, and Oklahoma the past few years
Georgia Tech won the Orange Bowl last year of SEC power Miss St.

It's a shame so many people lose to the worst P5 conference

Right now, does Ole Miss get credit for beating #12 Florida, what they were before they lost to FSU, or to #18 Florida, what they are now?

Obviously, they currently get credit for beating #18 Florida.

Likewise, if UNC beats Clemson, Clemson will fall. So UNC will not be credited with beating #1 Clemson, they will be credited with beating #6 Clemson, or whatever they fall to. Suddenly, that win won't look nearly as singular as it does right now, before it happens.
