but also be willing to take the fallout on making a coach a millionaire maybe a couple times over.

Every clown with a vehicle to voice their opinion and with the internet that means everyone will point to the rise in tuition cost, student fees for students along with falling enrollment as a reason this will be a bad decision by Western. A decision the school can't afford, even with the money coming from private donations. Then we will hear from the professors about the lack of raises so how can Western pay a coach 1.5 to 2 million...

again it wont matter if its coming from donations and money the school wouldn't have.

Western will take a huge media hit for weeks or months along with the gamble of millions of dollars

What those people will not get is the value of having a winning FBS program. Western attendance has increase every year since we went FBS...EVERY YEAR till last year. So what those people will not get...without a good FBS program we will be like EKU and Murray....5000 less than Western (don't really know the real numbers and not checking but somewhere close) and the money those 5000 student bring to Western each year they attend school...

$40,000,000 a year

If only 10% of the increase is because of football that's still $4,000,000. It wont matter because all these people with their axes to grind will only see ...a football coach at lowly Western Kentucky making 2 million a year

once upon a time, that was Va Tech, FSU, UL, etc.....

you can't make it to the upper echelon w/o investing....that applies to any business...

however, you can't bankrupt the company based on one person....

there is merit to taking the salary above g5 level standards if one has the means and the coach that is willing....

it's a fine line the schools are still sifting through.....

Georgia, Maryland, Memphis (not every C-USA coach would go), Miami, Missouri, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, or Virginia.

UVA is a dead-end, dumpster fire. I understand they can pay more but any CUSA coach who thinks they have a future can do much better.

Out of that list Uga, the U, mizzou and south car are the only attractive ones. The rest are like UVA they are dead ends.

The up to date genius Pat Forde is reporting JB to uva "after" his cusa championship game vs La tech. Any guy that cant get the game right, i have no faith in his rumor spreading ability.

Can confirm the 2 schools Brohm declined interview to were UVA and Maryland.

UVA has Brohm #2 on their list behind Richt.

Same thing was said about the UNC job before Fedora took it. So it's kind of hard to knock a school's coaching position until you see what someone can do with it.

Are some worse than others? Yep.. I wouldn't touch Maryland if I were a coach anywhere with a ten-foot pole for instance (so I'm going to LMAO if the bullpuppies lose their coach to Maryland, as rumoured.)

Forde is an idiot. He says Brohm declined interviews with UCF and Iowa St. Neither of those is true as those teams have not reached out to Brohm

I know WKU will pony up a few more dollars. Hell, with incentives Brohm will get close to earning a Million this year. 04-cheers

He simply said no interviews before the championship game. As we work down the list of schools his name will be one on some of those schools list. Memphis and Tulane in AAC and a number of lesser P5 schools will have openings.
Georgia hired Smart.

He said he would not interview before the CUSA championship game. He did not say he wouldn't listen to any offers AFTER that game.
I'm not saying Memphis is going to get him...just pointing out the obvious.

And he's telling you Brohm has already said...no, to Memphis, along with one other school
