Would you rather lose Brohm and promote Helton or keep Brohm and lose Helton to USC/UGA potentially making it harder to hire him should Brohm leave in the future?

Brohm, and if be let him (hopefully) groom another up and coming coordinator again. I would think an up and comer would want to work with him.

Keep Brohm. But I am tempted by the other. We lose Brohm in another year and we are rolling dice. We lose Bohm and promote Helton, we could be good for three years.

If Ty Helton is the next Western coach.....

unless he has another head coaching job when the Western job comes open for the most part it doesn't matter who he is the OC for till then.

The Western job is not one a OC turns down unless they just don't want to coach in this part of the country, or likes being a asst...there's a couple out there like that. Carree OC's up in age that are content.

That's my thinking but as an outsider I don't know who really deserves credit for your offense.

Brohm does, hands down. He calls the plays. He writes the plays.

Yeah... in this scenario keep Brohm and if Helton gets a nice coordinator job and does well with it then he can step in a year or so down the road.

Helton will make more as the OC at UGA than Brohm will make as HC of wku if things go that way.

RE: I'd Rather...Toppers Addition
Doubt it I think he would be more in line with Mike Bobo $550,000 than Brian Schottenheimer $950,000 and Brohm will be pushing a $1,000,000 with a win tomorrow. More than likely the winner of tomorrows game will get COA so Brohm could make $75,000 tomorrow.

If Brohm is still at Western next year he will be the highest paid (base) in CUSA and the only Millionaire coach in the conference.

i did the math not long ago, i thought that he could reach 1.2m this year with a championship and bowl win
