I think Mizzou is dragging their feet on purpose. They would love to have Odom with him having such promise and being an alumn, but he has no HC experience and they want him to prove himself first. By taking their time it allows us to hire Odom without them having to turn him down. If he proves himself, in a few years they can hire him at that point if the guy they go with doesn't pan out.

Missouri could have Odom locked up if they wanted. Instead they are interviewing all sorts of folks and making all sorts of calls. From what I've been told Odom is in Memphis tonight meeting with Memphis admin. He even texted several Mphs staff that he would see them soon. Not that it makes it done, but it sure looks headed that way.

That would make most Memphis fans very happy, if we could hire Odom and also keep Dickey.

How did Memphis offer one of our top recruits without a coach?

This is a huge hire for Memphis. They have got to keep the momentum going. Hopefully they can make another great hire - like Cincy and Houston have as they lost good young coaches - and not like Southern Miss after Fedora.

your OC is likely gone barring you hire odom and that is looking less likely by the day as mizzou is projected to offer him the job
