Not sure his body of work is big enough for a Georgia, etc quite yet. Now Illinois, Maryland, etc. might be, but who knows what he will see at those schools if they come calling.. not all about $$ for him.
It's interesting how when 'my' coach is being looked at some guy will always say "he loves it here, it's not about the money." It's always about the money.
Exactly, I seen Rich Rod leave a WVU title contender for a down and out Michigan. Money talks and people listen.
WVU is a pimple on a donkeys ass when compared to the football program at Michigan. Michigan has and always will be a top 5-7 job with its history and support. That was a no-brainer move for him. His style just didn't work in the Big Ten.

yep....he sold his soul....almost all do at some point....even ol' ball coach thought he could handle the NFL
football coaches and ego is akin to steak and eggs...however, sometimes the skillet gets too hot.....humility is a tough lesson for some....
that's why so many southern miss fans loved Jeff Bower.....that's a good man....he had those same opportunities....

Re: Will CUSA be losing any coaches?
I just heard an interesting little nugget from a reliable source of mine........supposedly UCF approached Doc the week after O'Leary was let go and he told them straight up "No interest". This same person said we are likely to lose OC Legg as he is being approached by several schools. Very interesting to say the least.

that easily makes sense....
swapping spit doesn't make cents in my book.....especially with those turds
you guys might have one of the few coaches that will retire from their current coaching job....he has tenure and it appears to be unlikely that a major power would be looking for his style.....even if in a jam....

I think if the right program comes knocking, Doc will certainly entertain the offer. Has to be the right fit though. At his age he isnt going to step into a dumpster fire program like UCF is right now. Miami....now that could be a different story. He could recruit the area he loves without ever leaving his own backyard so to speak.

Personally I think if the U gets the right person, they could get back to being a great program again. Just takes the right person to pull the talent from that area that has good football smarts. With the exception of FSU, the ACC is up for grabs in most years.

Latest rumour up in columbia... Missouri thinks they're out of the Richt sweepstakes, so now they're looking at Sonny Dykes instead of promoting Odom

Ok, so I am a fan of a team that left this conference, but still root for you guys and tend to tread lightly over here. But, occasionally I see something that makes me go WHAT?
1 - I have sources and Holliday was never a candidate. Also, never mentioned in any real media.
2 - Most important, the fan base including boosters were over the top pissed at the old man - O'Leary. Hence, his resignation, and the call for new blood. Now, how would you sell to them a 58 year old coach that was 0-3 against the coach you fired culminating with a 54-17 loss, again to the guy you fired (believe worst home loss in Marshall history)?
No offense Marshall fans, would love to play you again, but Doc was a complete non-starter. But that decision was just common sense for any fan base.

He can't stay anywhere more than 3 years. There's no way I'd hire him. Probably trying to get out before he loses Goff.
