Is Ohio State in shambles because they lose to UT Arlington. Come on now, lets get level-headed here.

No, they don't. They stink. The fact they hung with an Illinois team missing 3 starters (one of which is a backup to begin with) and was reduced to playing a walk-on 30 minutes in a game 90 miles from Champaign isn't evidence that Chicago State doesn't stink. They do. NIU should win fairly comfortably (15+).

Woods destroyed Illinois and with NIU's inability to stop dribble penetration, I expect him to have a field day against NIU's defense.

I think NIU wins, but it will be tight.

Yes, somebody will probably score some points for CSU because that's how basketball works. Bad teams have guys that will score because somebody has to take the shots. It doesn't mean they aren't a bad team. They very clearly are.

The only way I think they keep it tight (say, within 5-6 points) is if they shoot unusually well from 3. They did against Illinois and it kept them in the game, maybe they'll do it against NIU. But I wouldn't expect them to.

I never thought I would have seen the day where I am thinking about Huskie Basketball while the football season is still going on let alone MACC week but...

I saw athletics tweet out that a student will have a chance at $10k from Mason Properties if they attend today's game.

A little disappointing to see Wright State being so bad, and Cal-State Northridge is flopping too. At least South Dakota is doing decent.

I won a lunch bet on the CSUN game with my cousin who went to school there. Not too many bets are won with NIU basketball. Unfortunately, I will need to go to Orlando to collect the free lunch.

Good bet! CSUN has not won a game since leaving the Convocation Center including 31 and 35 point losses to UCLA and USC dohhh. Seeing what NIU's opponents have done certainly does temper the excitement level a bit for this year

I might be going to Orlando in April, can I use your free lunch?

I'll let you know. If we go to the Boca bowl, I may use it then. If not, I'll get it to go and send it over to you.

According to Pomery again, the offense and defense SOS of the teams we've played so far are both in the 330's out of 351 D1 teams. Which leads me to believe our current record is fool's gold. Time will tell.

RE: Chicago State @ NIU predictions
As I have said before, this early season schedule was actually hard to pull off. To take bad teams and find them at their worst and then sprinkle in some NAIA teams.

Heck, we are undefeated and playing some frosh....best it's been here in a while, but we best not stumble on a game like this.
