Exclamation Bowl Outlook
If Clemson beats UNC (and thus makes the FF), what are the odds that UNC and FSU will make BCS bowls? Sending a team to the FF and two teams to BCS bowls would be huge.

Also, generally, who is slated to go where?

Feel FSU pretty much guaranteed themselves a NYD Bowl with that beat down of Florida on the road.

I, too, believe Pitt will wind up in the Pinstripe Bowl. Good for Pitt, too. Should be able to draw a decent crowd to that venue if the opponent is good.

I would love for VT to go to the Belk bowl. That's the second tier bowl that I've most wanted to go.

Sorry, but I think Miami ends up in the Gator Bowl - possibly against Miss. St (according to CBS; a very winnable game for the Canes!)

UNC probably goes to the Russell Athletic to play a Big XII team, while the Sun will end up with Louisville (vs. Pac-12).

After starting out 0-3 just glad UofL pulled it together to win 7 games and finishing 3rd in the Atlantic.

I am hearing that it is either the Fiesta Bowl against a Big Ten team (Iowa?) or the Peach Bowl (FSU?).

RE: Bowl Outlook
I don't believe that the ACC will get 3 NY6 bowl bids even if UNC defeats Clemson. There are 4 playoff and 3 access bowl slots available.

If UNC, Bama, and Stanford all win, speculation is that Stanford would get the 4th playoff spot, demoting UNC to an access bowl. One of the other two slots would likely go to an 12-1 Clemson, and the final spot would be up for grabs among Notre Dame, FSU, the third place team out of the B12 (OkSt., TCU or Baylor, all 10-2) and the third place team out of the B1G (11-1 OSU, 12-1 Iowa, or 11-2 MSU). No way they have an all ACC matchup in one of the Access Bowls, which is what they would have to do.

If UNC and Stanford win, but Bama loses, I think UNC gets a playoff spot. Again, 12-1 Clemson seems likely to get an access bowl slot. The final two slots would then be up for grabs Notre Dame, FSU, Bama as the second place team out of the SEC, the third place team out of the B12 and the third place team out of the B1G.

If UNC and Bama win, but Stanford loses, again I think UNC gets a playoff spot. Again, 12-1 Clemson seems likely to get an access bowl slot. The final two slots would then be up for grabs Notre Dame, FSU, Stanford as the second place team out of the P12, the third place team out of the B12 and the third place team out of the B1G.

I all cases, it's a traffic jam, with too few slots for too many quality teams.

We were told awhile back that the G5 champ MUST go to the Peach bowl this year (to avoid 2 Fiesta bowls in a row). That means Notre Dame would be in the Fiesta no matter what, and ACC #2 would face the G5 champ in the Peach.

(unless they changed their minds?)
