Bob's postgame video going viral
At 1:30 pm Sunday nearing 300,000 watches on YouTube.

Some of us are 'sharing' with everybody we can think of on Facebook, etc., to try and help push it along, but I think the ESPN story is the source for most of the hits....nevertheless, may I suggest that youall consider doing the same....

RE: Bob's postgame video going viral
ESPN probably helped, but this likely has a lot more to do with hitting the front page of reddit, Reddit link

And there are some interesting comments in that thread, some amusing:

Quote:Yeah, slightly awkward at the end when the camera pans back and there's like three people in the entire room.

Quote:"I want to thank that man right there..."

...one of the three men in the room

An informative post by an Owl fan:
Quote:A little information about Turner and the Rice Owls. Turner's been at Rice all 4 years and throughout his career wasn't ever the starting back, he was even leapfrogged by freshmen. Turner was used in a lot of short yardage/ powerback scenarios. Turner was also known to throw touchdowns out of the Wildcat and trick plays. I've watched this dude for the past 4 years and he's been nothing but pure class. After games he goes and he shakes the opposing teams Linebackers (who, as a runningback, has to deal with the most) and has always been courteous on the field. The Rice Owls overall haven't been to a lot of bowl games but these are the kids who didn't get offers from UT, A&M, Texas Tech, and even the University of Houston. For all intents and purposes a lot of athletes don't have Rice as their #1 preference. Its kids like these that make me love college football. Luke didn't play for money. He played to honor his team, school, and to pay for his education. Whenever I play NCAA Football on my PS3 I would always move him from second to first string because I liked the power he brought to the game. I'm glad that I was able to watch him play here in Houston for the last four years. He is the pinnacle of what a Student Athlete should be.

Which then sparked some interesting discussion about the quality of student athletes at schools like Rice, Stanford, etc.
