Predict the new coaches at: Memphis, Tulane, and UCF
This isn't a wish list. This is just to see who everyone sees as a fit at our newest openings. Last year the AAC did very well, bringing in Chad Morris, Tom Herman, and Phillip Montgomery. If we were to go off our recent hiring trends, it would stand to reason that the new hires will be young, innovative, and offensive. However, early candidate lists mention predominantly defensive guys for those 3 programs. Here are the 3 I'd predict for Tulane, UCF, and Memphis.

1.) UCF - Dino Babers. Babers comes from the Briles tree and he would take advantage of all that Florida speed.
2.) Memphis - Bill Clark. Clark knows the area, and recruits very well.
3.) Tulane - Willie Fritz. Tulane needs someone with college head coaching experience. Fritz has won everywhere he's been.

I would be very pleased with those 3.

If Clark was going to bail on UAB, wouldn't he have done it by now?

From what I've read about Clark, he's 1-2 years away from receiving/being eligible for a penchant from the state of Alabama, so I don't see him leaving any time before that comes to fruition.

Babers is not going to UCF

It's going to be Geoff Collins or Randy Shannon

You realize there's not much in the universe more meaningless than message board smoke.

I think UCF would be smart to go after Cristobal (I think it's him). I wanted him at USF instead of Holtz awhile back. Or go after a OC/DC from UF/FSU.

No thanks to Cristobol. Luckily he doesn't appear to be anywhere near the top of the list either.

there must be something in the background check that UCF hates bc I don't think he even got an interview

there are rumors he is a candidate at Rutgers. He can recruit for sure but never calling plays or coordinating is a concern

I think Tulane takes Todd Monken from Southern Miss or Bill Clark from UAB.

Better conference, more prestige, more money, that's how this works. Coaches want to move up not be stuck at nowhere schools.
