RE: App @ South Alabama
This was an ugly win but it was a win. South Alabama fought hard and played an excellent game, especially in the second half. We had a lot of bad luck but that's part of the game. USA seems to have a QB for the future and no doubt they will continue to build depth (their biggest issue this year according to their fan comments). This game was both frustrating and encouraging. The mistakes were unbelievable, but the fact that the Apps fought back when USA had all the momentum and the lead has to be encouraging. I don't question the backbone of this team.

Thanks for a great game, Jags.

For the record, a little trolling by stAte fans doesn't hurt my feelings. Congrats on your championship. I will be pulling for EVERY SBC team in the bowl games! (even...GULP...Georgia Southern).

USA showed that that team has a lot of character tonight with a great comeback. App has to stop all the turnovers to reach the next level as this is 3 games App should have put away in the 1st half only to keep teams in the game. Fortunately App only lost one of those. The Clemson game would have actually been a contest without the same turnover issue.

Best of luck to ALL the Belt teams in the bowls. Go out an earn some respect.

10-2, 10 and 2, Ten & 2: anyway you spell it, it is a great year! While we currently have the best overall record in the conference, we need to win our bowl game to ensure we go one step better, 11 - 2, and keep the best overall record. Good luck to all our SBC mates during bowl season.

Thanks for a great game, Jags.

I wouldn't say we played an excellent game when we have you 3 turnovers in the first half and gave you 2 50+ yard TDs. We did play better the second half. We have a lot to take away from this game.

1. Our RS freshman QB needs some practice time, but he looked decent.
2. We return a lot of our skilled players
3. This team doesn't give up
4. Our OC was correct 05-stirthepot

It was an entertaining game and I'm looking forward to next year. I wouldn't expect USA to be pushed around as much next year.

They play next year like they did in the second half and they'll be a force. That RS QB is going to be scary.

I was in attendance and tailgated from around 12 to kickoff. USA fans are extremely hospitable, we had brought our own food and drinks but if we hadn't we still would have been fed mercilessly by Jag fans. Rum balls, ribs, jalapeno burgers, muscadine wine and shine, pulled pork, and even a very special potato salad, etc. were offered to us repeatedly.

The Kappa Alpha frat boys were pure entertainment, from the attire they choose to wear to the rather young looking gals they had in tow, people watching was in full affect. Special thanks to the USA volleyball team for the hospitality on Dauphin St post game.

Great trip overall, Mobile is a fun town for sure and we will be back.

Yes I did, she is hard to miss given her height. This is the second time I have seen her in Mobile.
