With Ricky Tarrant at the line
We are in good hands. He's currently 34th in the NCAAs in FT% (.925). That's great. However, NO ONE ranked with a higher FT% than Ricky has been to the line as many times.
If all he does is convert 1-and-1's for us, that's going to be huge for a team that struggles shooting from the field.
GREAT pickup!

His game has always been to get fouled. The ball needs to be in his hands not Lawson's in end game situations.

Obvious coaching move that was not made. Instead we try to free him by using probably our worst free throw shooter who is big on effort but not on execution detail. As a result, we get nothing. Lucky for us, OSU isn't any better.

It worked at the end of OT. At the end of regulation I would have cleared out and let Tarrant drive to the basket.

Lawson, who is the clubhouse leader in turnovers. He'll get there, I think, but anyone with semi-quick hands gets the ball from him.

He needs more development, that X that he does is repetitive, if he could also execute it from the left or fake it & pull up for the jumper; use jab steps & fakes, he would create absolute havoc. ....Every move doesn't require a dribble to be effective!
With THAT being said, he's a DAMN GOOD ONE! His growth & development are key in understanding how to get his game to the level that he consistently make everyone else on the court better & MORE effective. ...IT worked for Shaq last game!

Once Dedric gets stronger with the ball he'll be damn near unstoppable.
