I was so afraid of a let down today against a very good La Tech team. I guess that's what those past 3 disasterous years will do to ya. But our team delivered and I'm proud of our guys and our coaching staff. I was very huge on Fedora and his staff..and I'm still a big Fedora fan, wish we would have never lost him...but Monk is the man!

We're hot. Humming well on offense. Defense has some swagger. How about Sarrazin's punt in the 4th that stopped on the 1. We're playing well all-around.

Should be a great game versus WKU. We finally beat a good team this year. Time to beat another.

If USM plays with the swagger they did today, I would give you better than a 50-50 chance. USM is a damn good team.

One big key to last week and today's games has been not surrendering in the 3rd quarter. Last week ODU went up 31-21 but USM finished the game scoring 35 straight points. Today LaTech stopped us on the last play of the 2nd quarter and then La Tech came out and scored 14 straight to make it a 24-17 game. USM responded with 28 straight points and 3 of those TDs were 1 play scores the first minute or so of the 4th quarter by Ito Smith (57, 17, and 11 yard runs). In the previous 3 years we would've lost these games as we had no answer.

I was afraid of the emotional letdown after last saturday. But some geninus in techs marketing dept took care of that. Talking to 2 players, one late last week and one post game. That Buzz video royally pissed our kids off. Glad they responded like they did.

Didn't needed any help from a video, Monken had USM fired up while Tech didnt show any energy and that falls back on the coach.
