I said pretty much the same thing in the game thread, but it cannot be said enough.

Agreed. This class was a part of some great bowl victories and a conference championship. Thanks to all of them for their efforts both on and off the field; takes a lot of ability to do both.

I agree. Driphus took a lot of heat for his year, but he's really a great young man. He came over to shake my hand and thank me for my support today just before he was to be interviewed. Most of these guys are really class individuals.

Priority one is and should always be graduating our players in every sport. Our seniors continue to uphold that tradition while representing the University well on game day and in life.

As always, congratulations and thanks to our seniors.

Congratulations.

DJ was key in some big wins for the program during his time here, and this year could have been really ugly without his efforts this season.

Thanks for the hard work and good luck going forward.

Agree 100%. The Seniors were a big part of building the program to a level of respectability. And, as is almost always the case with our student-athletes, they were a class bunch that represented the University with pride. Thank you all.

Luke Turner's statement at the press conference was very moving. I'm truly glad he feels that way about Rice and his coach.

There's been a few posts in the past here about some players resenting Coach Bailiff and his coaching style. That certainly could be true.

Oh come on. Get over yourself. Like you know everything that goes on in the football program. The overwhelming majority feel like Bob does. I know I did. And every one of my friends (some of them were out there for the last time today). Without DB, a lot of us wouldn't be/have gone to Rice.

Guys are in front of the mic because they deserve it. Not because the coach thinks they will support him publicly. Good Lord this message board is so delusional at times.

Not to interject reality, but the members of the press covering the game request the players they want to interview. Bailiff doesn't even know which players will be interviewed after the game.

Wow, that was very moving by Luke.

Being a fan of Rice football is a totally different experience today, relative to when I was a student (which wasn't even that long ago). We may not all be thrilled with every outcome or agree on where to go from here, but these last few years have been so much fun to watch. These seniors were a big part of that. Thanks!
