MT plays at 8:30 p.m. CT in the opening round of the Alaskan Shoot Out on CBS Sports. We have looked pretty rough our first two games and we have two starters that may not play due to injuries in our last game, so I am not expecting us to look that great.

Charlotte plays at 8:30 as well against Michigan. Not sure what channel it is on.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think Charlotte beat Michigan last year in this tournament. Michigan will be looking for revenge I am sure. Good luck Charlotte!

Alaska is a good team, usually play better than their D-2 level. We're gonna need to be on top of our game. Go Blue Raiders & 49ers!

We beat Michigan 2 years ago in Puerto Rico.

We are actually undefeated against Michigan all time. I might be wrong, but I think we are 3-0 against them. At least 2-0.

UAA is a tough opponent. They've won 36 games in the Great Alaska Shootout, all against D-1 teams, and they even beat the eventual natl champion Michigan back in the 1980s. Lucky to win. Raymond as PG really shot us in the foot, went from a 15pt lead down to nothing at all.

We aren't even close to figuring out how to play defense with these new rules. There is absolutely no way Kermit can coach a team that doesn't play a physical defense. It would be like asking Spurrier to run the option.

I bet they'll loosen up toward the end of the season just like in previous seasons. I'd say your coach would be smart to play the same way until the NCAA finally makes good on promises of cleaning up the physical play with more foul calls in the face of fan complaints.

At this point of the season a win is a win and any win is a good win

BTW, Anchorage beat Drexel and is leading San Jose St right now.

They could go 2-1 against D1 schools in their tournament.

They have one kid who could be playing anywhere. He scored half of the 70 points they put on us the other night and had 33 against Drexel.

Well we looked better last night. First two not so much. FTs are killing us. Settling for threes. Need ivory back in a bad way. Even though we were better last night we still jacked up too many threes. We will get killed by decent teams if we don't get better.
