How did Georgia Southern get a taste?

By witnessing Arkansas State pummel everyone we played? Including App State.

I think you have a skewed vision of who AppState is based on the game a few weeks back in Boone. We were not at our best to start with and after we lost Chapman at the end of the second quarter we were even worse off. We are a much better team than we showed that night. I'm proud of my team too and we will have the best record in the conference at 10-2 by this time next week. Not too bad for a program in its first year of bowl eligibility. And no asterisk here. We played every single relevant team in the league the last two years. From GS to ULL, to A State (1-1), GSU, USA, Troy... Everyone. We will represent the conference well in the bowls. We will do our part to improve the league. The question is: can A State win an OOC game?

you beat : 1-11 Wyoming ...1-10 FCS program. 5-7 Old dominion and got housed by Clemson. Impressive not
Every team we lost to was ranked this year at one time. And only in 1 loss did we have our starting Qb

Oh, YOUR ring? On the football team eh? Check the record. AppState will have the same W-L SBC record as "you" do over the first two years in the league. That after playing a schedule with the top 4 teams in the league both years. Don't worry (or do)... we will get ours in due time.

You better hope we're not in the league. If we are you won't be winning them with any consistency. Funny you come up with an OL injury as your excuse when we rush for over 300 yards and a 19 point lead before your garbage TD

So much salt in this thread. So much salt.
The Red Wolves are the best in the SBC. We didn't avoid or escape anyone. We went out there and took care of business each and every week. Our schedule was as difficult as anyone else's (except maybe ULM) and we ran the table. Cut... meet dry. Anyone saying otherwise is a sore loser.
Can't wait for the New Orleans. I hope we get LaTech.

OL injury? It was our starting center in a shotgun spread offense on a line that already had only one player in thier starting position at the beginning of the game? Do you even understand football?

Keep telling yourself that.
We won't overlook the Bobcats, but the chances of them coming into Jonesboro and winning are slim to none. Even the most biased observer would see that.

Holy hell... At least GS had the benefit of most Sun Belt teams claiming we'd be average at best before we started stomping around like a bunch of asses. For all the asterisk whining going on from ASU fans before their season went off a cliff in 2014, they sure seem confident that things are back to normal and won't be changing again.
At least those shiny SBC rings will give stAte players something to be distracted by so that they don't have to look at the scoreboard during next year's game with Georgia Southern.

stAte beat a 10 win Utah State team last year.
Since joining the Sun Belt, what OOC win does App have to compare?
