I don't know about that... Last off-season, he went golfing with some Texas Tech buddies and sporting a Texas Tech golf-shirt. I don't know if he has any animosity towards Auburn or not. He spent longer at Auburn than he did at Tech, his son was a walk-on at Auburn, and the current coaching staff isn't the one that supplanted him.

I don't really know if playing Auburn would motivate him or why it should. If you can't get motivated playing major programs in North Carolina and Virginia Tech, why the hell should playing Auburn matter except for the revenge factor?

Part of me is reminded of the old maxim about the definition of insanity: doing something over and over the same way and expecting different outcomes.

Well, for the handful of fans that will make a trip this year, you'll know how serious he takes it if you get there for pregame warmups and the coaches are together playing grab ass joking around while the players are half heartedly running through drills on their own with GAs....again.

It also will give you a window into team focus and eventual penalties and turnovers.

#1 absolutely must lead the board in PPD, he's more of a "volume scorer".

RE: Bowl Game
Let's hope that UC and the AAC can work this out to avoid the Boca Raton Bowl. That coincides with one of the most exciting December home basketball matchups in years when top five Iowa State comes calling against a ranked Bearcat squad. We need a full house @ 5th/3rd that night and a good contingent at the bowl.

Knowing how bowls bank on selling tickets, I can't imagine they would want thousands of UC's best supporters forced to choose between staying home for top ten basketball, or travelling before Christmas for a third tier bowl. Even those conspiracy theorists who believe the AAC takes pleasure in sticking it to UC would have to agree that bad attendance at either game would reflect poorly on the conference as a whole.

I have a hard time thinking many UC fans will travel to watch us play 3 days before Christmas against a MAC team in Florida Atlantic's stadium. But it would hurt viewership, at least in this region.

I attended the New Orleans Bowl game that was scheduled the same day that UC played @Oregon in basketball later that night. Thankfully the University hosted a watch party at the Superdome immediately after the FB game.

While the FB Bearcats lost their game the basketball Bearcats beat Oregon with a fantastic performance by Bobbitt I believe right after he returned from his self imposed exile from the program.

Yes, we were there too. Crushing the Ducks in basketball made a lackluster bowl performance that night more bearable. That along with being in that warm New Orleans weather in December. Since Iowa State is a home game, I truly hope UC isn't sent to Boca Raton that same night; guess we'll know by this weekend.

lol dont need to watch

If Tubs is coaching I can talk about our sloppy play, dumb penalties, bad special teams, and turnovers without ever seeimg a single down of the game and be dead on.
