I was there for both as well. The Akron one stung pretty bad because I really wanted coach Novak to win a MACC before he retired. We seemed to outplay them the entire game and found a way or ways to lose.

My daughter is a Miami grad so that one did not sting quite as bad but we had that game won too The ending was more bizarre than the Akron game.

I still remember how one of the Hansboro's had the game-winning interception slip through his fingers.
