Beyond the access to the College Football Playoff, bowl affiliations from the 2014 to 2019 seasons are as follows. The first five bowls listed will be part of a pool from which the Conference will place its teams. Bowl games will be placed based on best fit for the Conference and its membership.

So basically, with the AAC champ going to the Access bowl, the Boca bowl will have a pick between the #7 and #8 AAC team...or team with the #7/#8 fanbase/TV draw. Looking at the actual TV numbers UCONN's ratings did better than UC.
After reviewing those numbers I almost am thinking that Cincinnati will be the AAC team in the Boca Bowl.
