I called Marriott Hotel at Renaissance Center Detroit and got the MACC special rate of $126 (as opposed to $189). So booked!

I called the 800 number and the hotel itself and first they said it was sold out, then they quoted $189 plus fees which brought it to $274!!!

Then, I went on the MAC website which took me to Marriott and a different number and booked 2 rooms at $145, taxes included.

Protip: If you have to stay in a Detroit hotel for less than $100, you're better off staying in Windsor.

Which is reasonable. Fortunately, the Huskies really are in a "no lose" situation - even if they lose the game. Given the quarterback situation, there's no expectations.
