UH just broke another tie against Navy to go up 21-14 near the end of the first half. Cougar offense clicking pretty well and controlling the ball. Defense seemed to be doing well until Navy started mixing the option up with some passing.

And unlike the last time he worked for a "one and done" HC he will take the HC position at UH when Mensa leaves.

I really want to say something politically incorrect here…

Why, you don't think Major would follow Mensa to UT?

If he wants to be a big time HC he needs to start somewhere and with what UH has coming in and with what UH now pays it makes no sense to return to the 40 Acres as an assistant.

Looked t me like Marshall was not well prepared.

First three plays for Marshall - fourth down
First three plays for WKU - touchdown

Absolutely! Very impressive year for UH!

Also impressed with Western Kentucky.

And as I say that, the UH fans start a light booing of Navy for spiking the ball and slightly elongating the game. Typical.

Really good to see a full stadium for Coogs. No excuses like 'students out for Holiday, 'not a name opponent', etc.

Love that WKU DC. I remember him going nuts late in the 4Q against us and he is bringing that same intensity against Marshall. Wish we could see some of that intensity on Rice sidelines. That stuff does not always work at the pro level but sure can be effective with 18-21 year old kids.

Well they were playing a top 15 team and playing for the division/trip to conference championship game. Also, 75% (31,000) of students are from Harris County/adjacent counties. Really, there wasn't an excuse not to have a full student section.

Looks like 5-6 Washington will upset Washington St. to become bowl-eligible.

I'd be shocked if Meacham took the UNT job.
