Some interesting scheduling news in the article. I knew about 2016, but not 2017

Quote:Haase has noted UAB's difficulties in scheduling "name" opponents, but UAB has been able to play in a November tournament in each of his four seasons. That continues next season as UAB is at Kansas City for the NABC Hall of Fame Classic with Kansas, California and George Washington and plays in the first Cayman Islands Tournament in 2017, an eight-team tournament.

Here is more info about that tournament

Some of the schools announced for this tournament:

Quote:GEORGETOWN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – Caymax Sports Ltd., in conjunction with Global Sports Management, has announced that Cincinnati, Iowa, UAB and Wyoming will headline the inaugural eight-team Cayman Islands Classic college basketball multi-team event that will start in November 2017.
