Dear UCF fans,

As an avid Southern Mississippi fan, we get it; we know all too well where you are currently.

It's not fun having a losing season. It's not fun having every team that you used to compete heavily with or beat up on turn the tables to beat you. It's not fun to go winless. It is painful to have to watch your team give up on your coach, your coach on the athletic department, fans on the entire athletic program. Fingers will point. People will be thrown under the bus. And eventually people will be fired.

However, people will be hired. Coaches will be brought in. Players will buy into the system. Wins will come slowly. The first- joy, disbelief, and relief will all overcome you. And then the reminder- you're rebuilding and growing and it will take time. But soon enough, football season will become fun again. People will come back to the stadium. Soon enough, you'll be back to normal

Don't give up. It gets better. It may take a year, or two, or three (i.e. 4-32); but it gets better eventually. It just takes time. Until then, drink your hearts out and enjoy the free beer.

Go Knights!

Congrats on the win. Hopefully this rivalry can develop with both teams playing well towards the end of the year.

For the record, I lived in Tampa when I was a kid as well, my family was very poor, we lived off of hillsborough ave by east lake mall. A pretty rough area, hence my disdain for the town.

I only lived in Tampa for 5 years...

I was in, and out - I loved the area

USF was a great school - great scholarships

Oh, and yes - I choose USF or UCF, FSU, UF, and some out of state

IMO, we deserve every bit of trash talk and criticism this season. Eating crow is our job this season. For a few years now, the ball bounced our way and we acted like we were the untouchable kings of the world while talking down to all our conference mates. Now the tables have turned and it hurts ... A LOT. But like dad always said, don't dish it out if you can't take it back.
