After talking about how good a job UCF could be, Palmer did say that UCF was not a destination job for coaching. In reality, almost no school is, but damn. That isn't what you want said about your school on national television.
Right, almost 90% of FBS aren't destination... However, I will consider these places below destination gigs
Texas
USC Trojans
Notre Dame
Michigan
Alabama
Ohio St.
LSU

I used to think the same (including others like Florida, FSU, etc.). The thing that changed my mind was that even the above schools are subject to lose their coach to the NFL or even another elite school (UF to OSU).
Still, you don't want anyone saying on national television that your school isn't a destination job.

Empty stadium. When ours was empty for 2 years we heard we needed an OCS. We tried to explain it was the losing, but nooooooooo it was the OCS. Lot of vindication happening this season.

Two complete different situations. We had no QB established at the start of this season. Next year's team will not start 1-3

Will it end with talks of winning the division? Sure...

I don't see the big deal. He's stating the obvious. Any coach considering a group of 5 school a destination job sets a pretty low bar. Tbh I'd probably be weary of a coach with such low ambitions.

Most UCF fans are going to be in hiding for a few years after all the bullsh't they spewed the last few years. For example, where is that whiny, sniveling futbolguru/SouthTampaKnight/SirGalahad and his other loser aliases?

Pity USF lost to Maryland, would have been one heck of a season for you guys if you win your bowl game also.

Can't go back in time. That team is not the same as the one playing now. By the way that game wouldn't had changed the position USF finds itself today. Now had they beaten Memphis or Navy that would had been an impact

It was a good win for USF, I still have no idea why GOL hired Bresnahan the worst DC in UCF history and a guy that's been fired at every job he's held. I was actually relieved the score was as low as it was.

We tried telling that to some of your fans after last year but many of them argued with us that it was a good hire.

I keep giving credit to him but I for sure remember Mtmedlin saying how USF was bad fundamentally under him, and I for sure saw that all season with us. Think about all the missed tackles last night alone, one touchdown was after a USF player got hit and then bounced off and ran it in, no wrap up. That's been the case all season.

Betcha Tuberville hires him to be our DC at Cincinnati in the off-season after he throws our current DC under the bus tomorrow...
