RE: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Happy Thanksgiving from sunny Phoenix! Thought you may want to know that Phillip's rehab of his knee is going well. He was a bit down at first but he realizes that hard work and a positive attitude will help with the whole healing process. He is determined to come back even stronger and better! He said if Eric Berry (EB as called by his team mates)could be strong and positive through all his chemo treatments, his injury is nothing in comparison. EB is just amazing. I just read an article about how hard he trained right after a chemo treatment. The trainers were so amazed. He is a beast on the field right now. GO CHIEFS!!!

Yikes, my bad! 03-drunk

"It" was referring to the league, of course!

Okay, hmmm, no "tearing". Shredding offensive gameplans, then? Ripping off some INTs for TDs? [Sorry, just can't help myself.]

In all seriousness, Phillip's a joy to watch - can't wait until he's back out there next year. I have Sunday Ticket so I can see my Bucs, but I've been known to flip to KC games hoping for defense to see if I can catch Phillip making plays.

RE: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Speaking of Rice CBs in the NFL, Callahan is having a nice game tonight for the Bears getting some praise from the announcers including a Rice mention.

Bryce gets hand on 4th down pass in the end zone to thwart Green Bay's comeback. Bryce gets another mention as having a good night as an undrafted free agent rookie out of Rice. Bears win 17-13.

RE: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
He did get beat a few times in the rain by Randall Cobb, but I agree, he played well (and had a hand in the final play - an incomplete pass on 4th and goal that led to Chicago's huge upset of the Packers). When you continue to see Rice guys make meaningful plays in the NFL that we have seen the last few weeks (Callahan, Boswell, McDonald, Sendejo, Willson), it's not hard to see why the Rice team is down this year.

Callahan doesn't get the Madden turkey leg, but congrats.

??? Then they would have been down last year as well since only Callahan played on the 2014 Owls (and he didn't have a particularly great season).

I will return this thread to its purpose by wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to Covington and Nordstrom.

Agreed. I kinda think he put too much of a load on his own shoulders. I can't remember which game it was, but he was laying off the receiver a little bit to try to goad the QB to throw it to him so he could get an INT. As it turned out, the QB made a fantastic throw, and the receiver made a circus catch, and no INT was to be had. Still, he's a great talent. I doubt we will ever see the likes of a Callahan/Gaines CB duo again.
