That first one is fake. The mother and child come running from the top of the screen, boxes already in hand. The snatcher comes from the right side of the screen, not from the mob. Finally, (and granted, this assumes rational, non zombie-like behavior) there are a number of boxes on the ground, so why fight over someone else's?
