I just cannot imagine Missouri not going after a proven head coach. They are in the SEC and have two division titles, they should be able to attract a head coach from somebody...

Also said that Fuente to Va tech was being talked about before Beamer announced his retirement.

I just cannot imagine Missouri going after a proven head coach. They are in the SEC and have two division titles, they should be able to attract a head coach from somebody...

I'd bet they call the Missouri State hc...he was also on staff at Missou...

Until Missouri separates the wacko protestors and nutjob professors from ramifications on their athletics, I would tell all coaches to burn rubber getting out of Missouri.

The problem w/ not getting Odom and being forced to use a search committee, IMO, is that SO MANY jobs will be open ---- not just the jobs that need to be filled now (lots) but newly opened jobs like Memphis who had coaches eave to fill those jobs. That's a lot of competition from a lot f schools looking for head coaches. An Odom hire would solve all of that --- w/ the benefit of getting a damn good coach.

Yea, lots of talk about how bad Ohio State has been without Herman. SC is not a bad job, but there are better jobs that are open or could become open. I wonder if its LSU?

Because they pointed out some systematic issues that have been lingering there for quite some time? Because the football team, similar to the OU football team earlier this year, banded together to have their voice heard for a larger cause?
