Also in the weird stat category...Chuks with 3 blocks???
NIU shooting 67% for the free throw line so far this year...not sure where it ended up last year, but that seems better, although still not good.

Toledo about to start on CBSSN, vs San Jose St in case anyone wants to scout the Rockets, a team that could be favored for the MAC West lead if Fowler doesn't come back in time.

RE: Indiana NW predictions
Forgot to post my prediction for this game but it still applies.
No one cares.
Good thing it says Redhawks on their jerseys because their colors are red and black otherwise someone may have confused IUN losing to NIU with that school west of here, what's it called? Oh yeah, UNI. Of course that school plays real opponents, like UNC. That's as in the Tar Heels, not some branch campus in Colorado, Connecticut or California. Wonder how a Top 10 team like North Carolina agreed to visit Cedar Falls, Iowa?
Of course last Saturday the Huskies were busy emulating Monmouth (IL) College and Rockford College -- the two schools who also managed to score 101 and 100, respectively against Eureka. Since we won by 48 points, that must make us 73 points better than Emmaus Bible, which lost by 25 in allowing Eureka to score 100. Maybe they can be on the 2016-17 schedule.

EMU played NAIA today also, its not the end of the world, and you can take some things out of these games, mostly what you are doing well as opposed to what you are doing well. Seeing some of the Montgomery post-games quotes though seem a little on the odd side. Really excited to see how this team responds Saturday night.

So many points. And a creepy Papa John in the background.

RE: Indiana NW predictions
MD is right. The Idaho game will pose the biggest challenge for NIU thus far. Wright State is a more talented team but factor in NIU being a young team playing their first road game and it being a long trip to Idaho right after the holiday makes it a decent challenge.
I expect the Huskies to drop their first game of the season on Saturday but I still think NIU can be 10-3 entering MAC play, which will be far and away the best record they've had in my short time following NIU Hoops.
