Could it have made a difference..
If there was a full house tonight would NIU have started so poorly? Could a large, loud crowd conveyed some energy to the team?

I was not there tonight due to family obligations...so I suppose i dont have much room to complain...but I will.

This team deserves better that what we have given the last 2 years...tonight was a chance to clinch the MACWest and 10K(if that) show up. I dont care that its a Tuesday... This team deserves a full stadium of loud boisterous fans.

I can only imagine what goes through a players head when he runs out onto the field, looks to the stands and sees nothing but aluminum benches..it must have some affect.

At some point the poor attendance will have negative effects on this program...I certainly dont know how to fix it, but it must be fixed and fixed soon.

A large enthusiastic crowd could have only helped matters. This was a very close game so ya never know.

If it does have an effect, it has the same effect on the other MAC schools who see the same on weekdays in November.

Well its sad that we win MACCs, go to Detroit 6 years in a row, are ranked multiple times, beat B10 teams, and attendence declines. Even worse, attendence declines after a loss. So we win, lose attendence and we lose, lose more attendence. Something is very troubling with locals, alum, and area supporters.

A large crowd would have definitely made a difference. Unfortunately there is not enough interest in NIU football, and playing on a cold Tuesday night in November will never help to solving the attendance problem.

this is definitely not on crowd size, but on player execution and coaching...no excuses

I don't think the size of the crowd would have changed the outcome of the game, but it is still a problem. Much like Bob L, family obligations kept me from going to the game - although if they were playing Memphis, or Houston, or Cincinnati I wonder how many of us who could not make it would have found a way to make it work? The weather was not that bad, yet hardly anyone (myself included tonight) made it to DeKalb.

The players failed to execute plain and simple. They should have been ready and they were not.

You're an idiot!

Is crowd size the reason we lost? Nah

But do these kids deserve better from a pretty disappointing fan base? Ya

"You're an idiot" seems a little misguided. His larger point is accurate. We as a damn fan base didn't do our part.

The team deserves to play on Saturdays, when they will have a shot at getting a full(er) stadium of loud boisterous fans.

Accurate? are you saying the team expected 25,000 at the game and were let down when they only saw 9,700? I hope they were only focused on winning. I think it would have made a bigger difference if our coaches gave more touches to Huff who was tough to bring down on his 3 carries. I think it would have made a huge difference if our coaches were able to get this team to execute the screen which was wide open all instead of giving up on it after week 3. Yes we all want Huskie Stadium to sell out every game but deal with reality... Smh
