I know I am. Gonna get real this Saturday. The weak of heart and those with a nervous condition need not watch. This is what we as fans of our beloved schools live for. Personally I can't wait.

Ready. Skip Holtz has taken a lot of crap for going too conservative against UTEP, so USM can expect Holtz to open it up this Saturday. Holtz even admitted in a newspaper interview that he went too conservative.

This is music to the ears of all true LA Tech fans. Because WE KNOW we have the best damn team in CUSA, if Skip Holtz will just get the hell out of the way and let 'em play.

Surprised at the animosity towards Skip. Personally, I think he is a hell of a good coach.

LA Tech only gained 18 yards over the last 6 possessions against UTEP. Skip deserves every bit of the criticism he receives about his conservatism on offense. Three (3) separate times this season, Skip has taken the DAWGS out to a quick lead and inexplicably throttled back and tried to coast to victory by purposely decelerating the offense. It worked against UTSA and UTEP by the skin of our teeth, but it failed at Miss St. Below is a link to an article where Holt admits he went too conservative against UTEP.

I agree Winston. The home field advantage and Misters Dixon and Driskel are going to make this an uphill battle for my Eagles, but I truly believe the Eagles will show up and compete. Win or lose, games like this is why I love college football.

He is. I think the animosity is down to just a few stragglers who aren't paying attention. Holtz was talking about just 1 or 2 drives in the 2nd half of the UTEP game, not the whole 2nd half. UTEP sold out on the run and there was 35 mph winds to throw into to beat their scheme, and Driskel said he was having trouble gripping the football because it was so dry in El Paso. Holtz just said he should have tried something else to help out our OL because they couldn't block UTEP's front. (as evidenced by Dixon's 39 yards on 19 carries). The elements were more of a factor than a few play calls. This is the 4th highest scoring team in Tech history.

Ready for the game! Holtz said USM has the best defense we will play all year. Not sure I agree with that.... Miss State was pretty stout.
