Fuente and the Power 5 chances
FTR, the P5 is watching our commitment to a Football Program NOT who are Coach is. We are demonstrating a commitment to try and retain Fuente and will demonstrate a commitment if he stays (by our offer) or if he leaves (by our next hire). Losing Fuente is NOT a blow to our P5 chances, Bb sucking does not affect our chances. Crowd for SMU and actually getting started on the IPF ( we are still short money and TBR will not let us start without ALL the money) are much more important for the P5. Incidentally the IPF lack of construction did not help us with Fuente.

I got a real bad feeling about the crowd on Saturday. That being said, one game ain't gonna make a difference.

So, if you were to chart the tigerscane position on the Tiger football program it would go something like this:

Memphis & Cincy are absolute locks for the B12 as of last year. Look for the announcement around March Madness.

to

Memphis & Cincy are absolute locks for the B12 as of this year, look for them to add 2 more teams afterwards

to

We must succeed in FB our (sic) it won't be pretty down the Road

It's always nice to get the insider's perspective.

RE: Fuente and the Power 5 chances
I thought they kept saying that construction will start after the football season is over. I don't remember how much the IPF costs but it seems like they would direct all funds to pay for it first before they pay for the basketball facility. When they announced it was happening, they already had $24 million raised and needed another $16 million. Surely they would make sure they could fund the IPF completely before they would fund the basketball facility

The last thing we need to do is hire a defensive guy as head coach....that includes Odom.

They are probably reading this board to see what the fans are like too...we're doomed.

One game won't make a difference but a picture is worth a thousand words.

If he does go to VA TECH, he won't have to worry about butts in the seats.

This is the RIGHT answer........

I'd love to see Matt Campbell as our new head coach - just what we need, a very good head coach with both excellent offense & defense experience & understanding. A tireless worker & great credentials.

Tom Bowen will make this hire. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing will be determined

If we had "folks like GA" running things we'd still run the split T and have a one platoon system.

Saturday ... Losing streak, coach almost certainly gone, lousy SMU, Thanksgiving weekend, and an 80% chance of cold rain. You tell me what you think that crowd will be like.
