Learning to win and Thankful
Last year Coach Fuente discussed over and over how the players needed to learn to win and handle winning. I'd say they have done that. 10 wins last year, 8+ wins this year. Well, now it's time for our fan base to learn how to handle winning. When we win, we will continue to hear that our coach is being considered for other jobs, even our next coach if he continues the success. We will get ridiculed from the local sec fans when we drop a game or two. That's part of success. Our fan base also needs to learn to support an 8+ win team. We used to wish for a 6-6 team just to get in a bowl game, and now we are possibly looking at back to back 10 win seasons. I am thankful that our often joked about program has risen, and we will see our quarterback possibly selected as the #1 overall pick in the upcoming draft. I'm thankful that Tiger Lane is an event on Saturdays and people have had to wait to get thru the gates to see the team play. I'm glad our town is disappointed with the last 3 weeks, it means this football program is starting to mean something to people. I'm thankful that coach Fuente came back this when many thought he may have left after last year. Happy Thanksgiving, and I'll see you Saturday to cheer on our Tigers!!! #GTG

RE: Learning to win and Thankful
Hear hear! Well said!

I'm thankful to have a team that just may have learned to win, and an administration backing it with the required support. Here's hoping we go out and kick some pony arse on Saturday and get back on the winning side of things. Thank you coach Fuente for coming and showing it can be done at Memphis and laying the groundwork for continued growth. Good luck in the future, unless you're playing the Tigers.

Go Tigers Go!
