What would you have him do? There's 7 men in the box and the O-line isn't blocking. His Freshman QB is very confused and frankly afraid to throw. He's just trying to keep it close until someone makes a play.

So you want him to suit up and play? They are getting beat physically. Should Carey spot them on the bench to make sure they're doing their reps correctly???

The continuous blind love for Carey all the time amazes.

Bad play is always players, coordinators or other team is better. Never his fault.

I guess the vaunted passing attack set those plays up, as they do every week.

Its kind of funny how this thread pops up everytime we are losing by more than 7 in any game.

It may be as simple as teams have some tape on Graham now. They have an idea on what he can or can not do. Plus the O-line is just sucking. Guys have bad games. Maybe their feeling Grahams panic, who knows. I don't. Let's see the second half before declaring this the Titanic.

we got beat tonite by the better team.....they executed, we didn't

their coaching staff did a better job....no question about it

Sorry but when your OL averages at least 3-5 penalties per game, that's on the coaches not instilling enough discipline. Ohio has had just TWO PENALTIES ALL GAME. If Carey is such a God, how come our damn line play is a sloppy as f#$*? Should've been shored up by now.

Players didn't play well and coaches didn't coach well. Period.

However, the constant harassment to a guy people don't like are so unbelievably annoying. Big D huskie, carter shaw, and others constantly do this. People are so pessimistic. How dare people have an off day. We must seek perfection at all times. It's unreal. If you're gonna be sore losers and ****** winners, stop posting. Even the most successful people in the world and coaches mess up. Get over it, it's a game.


Please let me come to work and criticize all your mistakes. Oh wait, you guys are all probably entrepreneurs or CEOs of mega companies. Never made a mistake. Stop being so damn condescending.

The play call was lick-a$$! With a back-up QB you let him throw the ball around and run like he is Jordan lynch!!! The RBs did not get enough touches to have an impact if the game. Terrible game plan....no new strategies in the last three games. Ohio did not have to prepare for anything different! These dam coaches can't coaches out of a fuc&in cereal BOX!!! Nobody would want Carey, because the talent of the team has been carrying his sorry-a$$!!!!

Ohio is the type of team you need to get out fast on as they are not built to come back from big deficits. NIU came out too slow and let Ohio control the game. It is tough loss from the standpoint that you could see talent difference at the skill positions for NIU and yet they could do nothing about it. Kenny G was just dragging guys on his TD catch. Coaching is often the great equalizer in college football and Solich is as good as they come in the MAC.

All that said, I do actually hope this loss is what helps keep Carey at NIU. The margin for error is razor thin at schools like NIU trying to remain slightly relevant in FBS and while the team came up short tonight, they battled every game and dealt with huge adversity while taking down a Top 25 team along the way. Carey has brought some big wins to this program so hopefully he will be back for another run next season.

Carey is a good coach and I hope he is around for a while. He has won a ton of games for NIU and he will get some serious looks for the many jobs that are open. Coaching is more that in game decision making. Teams are built in the off season. NIU is always well conditioned and the players always seems like one another and play for one another. That does not just happen by itself.

Why don't we go out on a limb and fire him ..... just saying... if LSU can fire Miles with a .800 winning percentage in the SEC, surely we can fire Golf Course Rod and hire someone else.
