He could have just about any job he wants. I think it is unlikely he ends up at Maryland but you can't fault them for reaching out to him.

Mark Richt was making $4 million/yr at the time of his firing. The fact that Maryland would fly him in to College Park for an interview tells me that they'd at the very least match that salary. At $4 million, Richt would be less expensive than Dan Mullen who would command at least $5 million/yr.

I think the market is closing on Richt. I don't think he'll find any interest in either South Carolina or Missouri. That leaves Miami (Richt's alma mater) and Virginia as our competition. And Miami just interviewed Butch Davis, its former HC. I think Maryland is in a good position.
