MAC game of the year vs NIU home game.
Nice to see our game registered almost 20% more viewers over the Toledo/BGSU game which was hyped by the nationally college football media as the MAC game of the year, which also had access bowl implications.

Tuesday, November 17
527K Toledo BGSU 6:00 PM ESPN2

Wednesday, November 18
630K W. Mich. N. Illinois 8:00 PM ESPN2

NIU has the 2 of the top 3 rated ESPN2 and the top ESPNU MACtion games this year. Going for a 2nd top 2 finish tonight on the U.

Great news.
Why not send a letter to Alumni thanking them for their support, sharing the information and encouraging them to tune in?

What are Bill Bakers numbers?

I am glad that us NIU Cyber-fans are finally getting recognition.
If we had NIU paper-view FB, I would be in.

Toledo/NIU was where #MACtion was born.

I wouldn't say it's where the term was born, I think it had been coined prior, but the stupid game in 2011 between NIU & Toledo is what gave it national attention and recognition.

But yeah, NIU-Toledo is the marquee matchup for the conference because both teams have been consistently good and that's typically the matchup that decides who wins the MAC West.

BG might be Toledo's big rival, but the NIU game is the one that brings in the bigger numbers on television.

With the right marketing, it could top 1 million fans.

It doesn't matter either way, but the UT-bgSUCKS game suffered some because it was a 6pm game. It would have been higher if it was 8pm, but who knows if it would have beat UT-NIU. And for perspective, the UT game the previous week @ CMU had higher ratings than UT-BG.

The BGSU-Toledo game was up against the Duke-Kentucky Basketball game on ESPN.
