armed man caught red-handed, disobeys lawful police orders. The cop shouldn't have shot him, but the perp shouldn't have deliberately escalated the situation.

Victim was certainly either insane or on drugs or both. You can tell that just by watching the video. It could certainly be argued, that since he was armed, he was a threat.

I really don't have a huge problem with the cop shooting him, but it should've been a purposefully non-lethal shot and there is absolutely no justification to shooting a virtually lifeless body 16 times. It was hard to watch honestly. I hate watching these videos, but in order to have a valid stance on it, you have to watch.

It's fair that the cop is being charged, it's outright murder. 16 shots, c'mon, really? In instances like this I can see why Blacks get pissed off at cops. We have the same problems here in El Paso who shoot first and ask questions later. They're a bunch of stupid idiots who have the badge machismo mentality. They've shot so many people and have NEVER been charged.

Not entirely sure the cop wasn't insane or on drugs (maybe stress related?) himself. The guy was down with two shots, he then empties his entire magazine. Further, I read a report elsewhere that he was attempting to RE-LOAD when a fellow officer stopped him.

Gotta wonder what the eff was going on with him also. 20 cops on scene and this guy just goes nuts. Something's off.
