Had a VT guy tell me Fuente will get 3.5 million and Bud will remain as defensive coordinator for 1.5 million. Guess we'll see if he knows what he's talking about.

Is Bud really worth 1.5million to retain??? I know he is a good DC, but that would have to make him one of the most high paid DC or the highest paid in the country. Well if true congrats on the great hire.

Well after thinking about it that doesn't sound to bad cause I think Louisville is paying out 1.2 or 1.3 for Grantham. I'm not sure what Kirby Smart makes, but sure it's well over a million. After thinking about it this probably puts Bud right up there amongst his peers etc. Yea that is money well spent after thinking about it. Congrats VT on some good decisions towards your future after Beamer.

You have to remember, That was Memphis. The first 2 years He was using CUSA recruited players from an Era where No recruits even considered Football. Even Their fans laughed about Football when Memphis got the Big East/AAC invite at the time. He really got players and fans to buy into Football at a severely infused Basketball school. Could easily be a Great Hire for VT. Congrats if true
