And Paxton would be an early favorite for the Heisman.

He will be if he comes back - wherever that is. Memphis, VT, even UTK.

If he's projected 1st round, go draft.

If he's not, why would he transfer? He has proven that Memphis does not hurt your draft stock. He will be promoted for the Heisman. VT is not winning a NC next year. He loves the school.

He's either a pro or a Tiger next year.

I think Paxton's stock will drop once they really start analyzing his tape.

Don't get me wrong...I think he's going to the NFL, as he should. I see no plausible reason for him to stay at the collegiate level.

Not if Fuente protects him by running it every first down

I'm not nearly as concerned about Paxton leaving as I am about this rumor that Brady Davis will go to VT with Fuente.

Mmmm... I am pretty sure there is a rule in place preventing players from following coaches like that.

Coach Cal

Nope. There is a rule that National Letters of Intent cannot contain conditional language releasing a player for any reason, including a clause allowing a player out if a coach is fired or takes a job at another school. In the wake of Calipari (and others) attempting to insert that kind of language into NLI's, the NCAA issued a statement that those kinds of clauses had always been invalid and that future attempts to include them would invite punishment.

Players can still follow a coach if they want to sit out a year or are otherwise eligible to transfer for some other reason.

Stop with this nonsense. Brady has family here, and he's not going anywhere.

He would have to sit an additional year. Look up the NCAA rule book. I don't buy Brady leaving.

And the level of ignorance continues to rise on this forum. He would probably prefer NFL to ACC.

His being a redshirt has nothing at all to do with it.

If he wants to transfer, then he will sit a year.

Jesus, lighten up, Francis. I'll use [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags next time so your feeble mind can grasp it.

Word on the street is that you don't have the first clue what you're talking about.

Sarcasm should be used in context. I certainly don't see the relevance here. I wouldn't be calling anyone feeble minded after glancing at your recent posts. Should have known you are a Yankee by your posts.
