Who do you think we could honestly get as our next basketball coach? Nobody wanted the job when Pastner got it.

Would we have to hire a mid major coach? could we get a power 5 coach? Memphis is still a good job relative to even some power 5 jobs.

just focus on a real coach. not a video coordinator or a recruiting assistant. And make sure he curses, commands respect, and runs a definite system on both ends of the floor.

But my first call would be to Archie Miller. Not sure if we could get him or not, but he would be my first call.

I'm no longer sold that Paz won't be with us for a couple more years particularly if we have to replace Fuente.

To be honest your right. RC had his hand tied with Cal.Josh got/ still has his chance. It's great that Josh is a good non cussing person but the truth is you need a coach who feels it. I like Wojo at Marquette but he would be in line at Duke when Coach K walks...

Because of how things have gone under Paz whoever the new guy is will have to win quick. I'll bet the leash / patience level will be really short.

If things are looking like **** 1/2 way through year two..........

Replacing Fuente will be cheaper than keeping Fuente. 3M per year for Fuente or 1.5-2M for Odom or a similar hire.

If it's Damon, I imagine he keeps Kirby and Lawson.

Wish he'd bring in Antonio Anderson in some capacity as well.

funny thing is his pregame and halftime speech (while rather mundane) was much better than the "sweet 16 as a video coordinator" speech we are subject to hear.
