Big ten hoops... suck, like 3 years ago sec bad, and for anyone who wants to point to msu and Maryland, well they're Florida and kentucky. Weakest P5 conference at hoops.

So, sorting out just the Big Ten and SEC, you are looking at:

1. Kentucky
2. Maryland
3. MSU
13. Indiana
16. Purdue
22. LSU
25t. TX A&M

... and concluding how much stronger the SEC is than the Big Ten in college hoops, with the Big Ten having two strong teams and nothing else, while the SEC is strong across the board?

Uhhhm, interesting analysis. Let's filter out the "two strong teams" effect and look at the AP poll points excluding the top two teams from each.

Big Ten: Indiana (846) + Purdue (550) + Iowa (20) + TSUN (3) = 1419
SEC: LSU (285) + Texas A&M (100) = 385

Yeaokay, I see what you are doing there, you are ... uhhh ... nope, I take it back, I cannot see what you are doing there.

The Big Ten is doing really well in both football and basketball this year. That's just reality.
