How many of these C-USA losing teams are coached by a first or second year coach who replaced a fired predecessor? It has to be more difficult to bring in the needed players for a G5 (or less) program to improve than for one with virtually unlimited funding for infrastructure (program support facilities) and coaches.

I don't think you fully grasp how void of talent they are. We would literally have to play the worst game we've ever played to lose to them. Most years I'd agree with you. Southern Miss is going to have a real chance of going win-less this year. SE Oklahoma St is their only shot before conference play. After last night, they'll be dogs in that game.
