Nice video and recognition for the school and Uzlac. Just wish that he wouldn't have worn Michigan gear. But then I'm sure he has no desire to wear any Western or Navy clothe.

Would you wear apparel from schools that fired you?

He coached seven years total at U-M, same as his tenure at Western.

I am not a university of Michigan fan, my brother-in-law's an alumni and I get the arrogance that people perceive. On the other hand, every direct interaction I've had with people at Michigan has been wonderful, whether as part of my job or in other ways. My daughter went to softball camps at Michigan and had wonderful experiences. So while I don't root for Michigan, I figure why waste my energy hating?

We may disagree politically, but we've got some things in common as well. I've given up hating, takes too much energy. Happy Thanksgiving.

WHY? Because he played at WMU and is a 1964 WMU grad.

Quote:A native of Gary, Indiana, Uzelac played high school football at Tolleston High School. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1964 with a degree in physical education. A knee injury ended his football playing career before he could letter at Western Michigan, but he was Mid-American Conference outdoor shot put champion as a senior.

Elliot was fired by maybe the worst AD we ever had - Tom Wonderling (the guy who hired fellow BG alum Jack Harbaugh).

That is if you don't count the two terms Chauncey Brinn served as Interim AD.

...or the shady Dan Meinert, who got the job because he had been at Ohio State when Haenicke was there.

Beauregard looks like Mark Hollis in comparison.
