Question for Tech posters...
70% chance of rain Friday and 80% chance Saturday in Ruston. I went to your website and saw that a new turf field was installed this last summer. I assume that it drains very well, being a new field, but just wanted to ask if that is the case. Thanks.

Thanks. I felt sure that was the answer, but wanted to check.

Hoping for no rain. I don't think bad rain would play well to our system as compared to La Tech.

How is your OL? Your DL should have no problem with our OL.

Drains really well and is a top quality turf that's brand new so it looks good too.

RE: Question for Tech posters...
It is freaky soft turf. Five minutes after the game they open the field up for for kids to go run around. Walk down to it and check it out; feels like grass and bounces back like gel when you press down on it with your fingers. I would use it for my lawn.

Very much improved since 14. We added some depth with some of the juco players. But the biggest difference in our offense this year and last is the OL has stayed healthy all year. I think we were missing 3 starters last year when we played and one went down during that game.

It drains really well.

The stadium is in a big hole in the ground. Drains well though AS LONG AS THE PUMPS are working. If pumps fail then its a fishbowl.

He was asking about Tech's field, not about your wife.

Are you saying it is NOT built in a hole and it is NOT drained by pumps? Are you aware that lot of stadiums are built that way? Dig a hole, line the sides with concrete and bolt down the bleacher seats, cheapest way to go.

Name the last time it turned into a fishbowl. Thought not! We are an engineering school! And damn proud of it.

I'm saying you should go fist yourself. I just want to know if you are coming to championship town --a/k/a Ruston-- this weekend? I want to meet you.

If this Eager loser is really a USM grad I figure I have two options. Burn my degree because it obviously isn't worth anything if a loser like EE can get a degree from USM or just accept the fact that incest between brothers and sisters really is a fact in Mississippi.

RE: Question for Tech posters...
The field doesnt have pumps. It doesn't need pumps when there's good engineering on hand. The field has always drained well, even before we had turf. There is a well planned drainage tunnel under the Joe that runs to a nearby park pond. The pond itself sits about 40 vertical feet below the field and is about 250 yards away. Again, its great engineering and I wonder where we got that from. 03-shhhh
