I just hope the weak non-conf schedule doesn't overshadow the fact we are seeing an upswing in this program headed into this year we have not seen since the mid 1990's at NIU

Among mid majors:

Mid Major Top 25: 42

When you average together the Massey, Ken Pom, and RPI NIU is sitting at about #141 right now, nationally.

Considering there are 351 basketball programs that puts NIU in the top 40% nationally, or in other words almost exactly where NIU football is at right now in the average rankings relative to the rest of FBS. My only point is, I hope people realize sooner than later what is happening with the basketball team. I just think its important because when you have a recruiting class like this, if you do not see a response in fan support, I fear it gives less chance of future classes like that.
